UFC lightweight ruler Khabib Nurmagomedov is obviously not interested in fighting Conor Mcgregor. The Russian fighter has stated this numerous times in the past.
The two met back in October 2018 when the champion dominated “The Notorious” before submitting him in the 4th round.
Since then, the Irish superstar fought only once – in January 2020, defeating Donald Cerrone. Now the former champion is set to face Dustin Poirier again, but this time they will be fighting at welterweight.
And it seems this ticks off Khabib the wrong way.
“If he beat him in 155 it makes sense, but if he beat him in 170? How can you fight in 170 and then in next fight in 155,” Khabib said. “They wanna make everything easy, if you wanna take easy way, you will never deserve next title shot.”
“Before I fight with him I told him, ‘I’m gonna make you humble, and I’m gonna put you online.’ So if he fight 170, bye bye.”
Nrumagomedov, 30, is defending his strap this upcoming Saturday against Justin Gaethje. The fight will be hadlining UFC 254 in Abu Dhabi.
