Former unified world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-5) has put stop to all the speculations and rumors that he’ll be returning back to the sport of boxing.
The 43-years-old Ukrainian was rumored to sign a deal with DAZN that allegedly could square him off against Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
Anyway, Klitschko denied all the talk once and for all and stated that his 2017 showdown with “AJ” will be his last pro fight.
“I’m at peace with my decision to stop boxing and switch to another career,” Klitschko told Sun Sport.
“I’ve never won so much when losing. I have many victories but what I learned after the fight at Wembley is more important than any success. I used to think failure wasn’t an option. Today, I know that passionate defeat is an option,” Klitschko said.
“My focus shifted to my second career. Today, my battlefields are different,” he added.
