Manny Pacquiao not ruling out a fight in UK

8 divisions world champion Manny Pacquiao returns this upcoming Saturday night after a two year hiatus. “Pac-man”, 42, was scheduled to face the unified welterweight champ Errol Spence Jr., but unfortunatelly “The Truth” was forced to withdraw from the bout due to an eye injury.

Hence the Philipino legend will be fighting WBA ‘Regular” champ Yordenis Ugas in what many people believe will be Pacquiao’s final fight of his stellar 24 years career.

A career that will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time. Thinking about it, what haven’t Manny done in the sport of boxing? Well, there’s one thing according to the man himself and that is to fight in the UK.

Last year there were serious negotiations between him and fellow welterweight Amir Khan. The pair had to face each other in the Middle East due to COVID-19 restrictions, but the fight never materialized due to financial disagreements.

“I almost fought Khan” Pacquiao told Sky Sports.

“Almost close to have that fight, but there was a problem about something, but I won’t disclose it.

Pacquiao had sparred with Khan in the past at the Wild Card gym in Los Angeles as they shared the same trainer Freddie Roach.

“There’s a big difference between sparring and actual fighting. I still hope that one day I could have a fight in the UK,” he said.
