Former two-division world champion Marcos Maidana will not be making his anticipated return to the sport of boxing. “Chino” was absent from the big scene in the past year, but at the beginning of 2019, he announced that he’ll be returning to pro boxing and even started a training camp to lose weight.
Everything was going well, as the 35-years-old Argentinian was aiming to have two or three fights in 2019. He even signed a multi-fight agreement under the Premier Boxing Champions banner. But for whatever reason, Maidana interrupted the training camp in Las Vegas and flew back to his homeland, where he stated that he won’t be making a come back.
“I’m retired from boxing. It’s not that I don’t feel capable, but there were things that were not right and I have decided not to come back.”
