Miesha Tate moves to flyweight, debut in May

Former UFC bantamweight women’s champion Miesha Tate will be moving down in weight categories, as her next fight will be in the flyweight division.”Cupcake” will go toe-to-toe with Lauren Murphy at an upcoming event on May 14th.

Tate, 35, made her return to UFC last year. She defeated Marion Reneau via TKO in July and then lost to Ketlen Vieira in November via UD.

Murphy, 38, hasn’t foguth since last September when she suffered a fourth-round TKO in her flyweight championship bout against Valentina Shevchenko. Prior to that, Lauren was on a five-fight winning streak.
