The newly crowned WBC world bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire is clearly not done with the history-making.
The Philipino superstar defeated France’s Nordine Oubaali on Saturday night, claiming another world title in his stellar pro career.
The 38-year-old veteran needed only four rounds in order to put away Oubaali. That was Donaire’s first fight since November 2019 when he lost to Naoya Inoue in one of the greatest fights ever.
Now, “The Philipino Flash” is adamant that he wants to face “The Monster” once again.
Speaking after his WBC title win over Oubaali, Donaire said he so badly wanted the win on Saturday night because it would allow him to embark on his “next goal.”
“The only thing I haven’t done in boxing is to become undisputed champion,” Nonito said. “And the next phase is getting the rematch with Inoue.”
