Columbia’s best heavyweight Oscar Rivas will get back in the ring next week in Canada, Quebec.
“Kaboom” will be facing the 38-year-old Sylvera Louis in one of the first-ever matches in the new bridgerweight division (101.6 kilos).
Rivas, 33, hasn’t fought since 2019 when he challenged for the WBC interim heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte. The fight was surrounded by controversy because Whyte tested positive for PEDs days before the fight, but the BBBofC let the fight go on.
The fight itself was solid and even though Whyte got knocked down, the Brit got the UD victory.
Rivas and Louis have already faced each other in 2012 when the Colombian won via SD.
