The highly anticipated rematch between Russia’s Alexander Povetkin and Britain’s Dillian Whyte has been postponed.
Povetkin, 40, has tested positive for coronavirs which means the fight with “The Body Snatcher” will be moved for another date.
Initially, the second meeting between the two heavy hitters was scheduled for November 21 in London, but now the bout will take place on January 30 next year.
Povetkin KO’d Whyte back in August with one of the nominees for “Knockout of the Year”. Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn immediately suggested that he could step in to challenge Tyson Fury instead.

Hearn reacted to the news of Whyte’s postponed fight: “Firstly we want to wish Alexander Povetkin a speedy recovery.
“This is a challenging time for shows. There will be lots of ups and downs over the next few months. We look forward to the fight happening in late January.”
