Four-division world champion Saul Alvarez will face WBA super-middleweight champion, Callum Smith, per reports.
The Mexican superstar and the Brit has reached an agreement on a fight that will take place in the USA on December 18 or 19.
Just last week Canelo became a free agent after he filed a lawsuit against Golden Boy Promotions and DAZN. Now Alvarez could go in the direction of Floyd Mayweather who was his own promoter for the better half of his career.
A potential venue for the fight is the AT&T Stadium in Dallas and there could be fans at the fight. The Dallas Cowboys’ home field will host the bout between Eroll Spence Jr. and Danny Garcia on December 5th.
Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Smith, has insisted that the fight is not yet done and there’s no signed paper at this moment. Smith, 30, hasn’t fought since November 2019 when he defeated John Ryder via UD.
