The last time “Dr. Steelhammer” was inside the ring was two years ago when the current IBF, WBO, and WBA “Super” champion Anthony Joshua defeated Klitschko via TKO in the 11th round. In the last few months, there have been a lot of reports and stories that Wlad is coming back, but the Ukrainian denied this information and said that they are “fake news”.
This time around the news for the venue and the date were broken by Ukrainian media and rumor has it that the 43-year-old Klitschko will fight three times and he’ll be collecting around $120 million for his services. The venue for the fight is said to be the Olympic stadium in Kyiv where last year Champions League’s final took place.
Despite all the rumors, it’s hard to believe that a 43-year-old millionaire will return to such a violent sport risking his health and life, but if the $120 price tag from DAZN is legit, then things are gonna get pretty damn interesting in the blue ribbon division.
