Showtime releases new promo video for Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley boxing match

Showtime revealed its new promotional video ahead of the boxing showdown between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley.

The YouTube star and former UFC welterweight champion will headline on Aug. 29 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The event will air exclusively on Showtime PPV.

Showtime Sports President Stephen Espinoza revealed to MMA Fighting this past week that the fight card will come with a $59.99 price tag.

Paul looks to improve his pro boxing record to 4-0 when he faces the former UFC welterweight champion. The YouTube star gained a lot of traction with his previous two performances, a pair of knockouts against former NBA guard Nate Robinson and former UFC, ONE, and Bellator fighter Ben Askren. Paul’s promotion company, Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, will co-produce the event.

Woodley makes his pro boxing debut and makes his first competitive appearance since parting ways with the UFC following his fourth consecutive loss to Vicente Luque at UFC 260 in March. “The Chosen One” called for the fight after Paul defeated his teammate in Askren in April.

In addition, Amanda Serrano will defend her WBC and WBO featherweight titles against super bantamweight world champion Yamileth Mercado in the co-main event, while the main card also includes Tommy Fury, the brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, as he takes on former Bellator fighter Anthony Taylor.
