As if UFC 244 wasn’t stacked enough, now we get another big name that will take part in the event.
Earlier today UFC announced Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson (14-4-1) will jump on the action on November 2 at Madison Square Garden. The 36-year-old vet will fight Vicente Luque (17-6-1), as “Wonderboy” will be looking to kill the two-fight losing streak he is riding right now.

The last two bouts Thompson participated in were against Darren Till and Anthony Pettis, as the American lost both of them. Stephen’s last victory was against UFC hottest thing right now – Jorge Masvidal, back in 2017.
Luque, on the other hand, is currently on an impressive six-fight winning streak in the welterweight division. Brazil’s “Silent Assassin” has only two loses in his UFC career (Michael Graves via UD and Leon Edwards via UD).
Thompson vs. Luque joins a UFC 242 card that’s set to be headlined by another welterweight clash between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, while Darren Till’s middleweight debut against Kelvin Gastelum will serve as the co-main event.
