The ninth Grand Prix event of 2019 took place this past weekend in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
418 judokas from 69 countries had set foot in Uzbekistan’s capital to compete with each other for the hardware. They were in pursuit not only for the medals, as the participants were trying to secure their spot at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Some did, others didn’t make it to Japan, but there will be plenty of opportunities to get the job done.
