WBO world welterweight champion Terence Crawford (35-0) made it clear who he wants.
“Bud”‘s name is in the mix for a huge welterweight unification with WBC and IBF king Errol Spence Jr. (26-0) for some time now, but different promoters and TV deals are the ones keeping the two away.
“The Truth” is coming off of a SD win over Shawn Porter on September 28, but according to numerous reports Spence prefers to give Porter a rematch instead of facing the 32-year-old Crawford.
Crawford’s only fight in 2019 was against Amir Khan, but the Brit was no match for the American speed and skills and he resigned in the 6th round due to “illegal shot in the groin area”.
It’s a dream welterweight matchup between two of the best right now, but according to the WBO titleholder, Spence is afraid of him.
