Extremly exhausting and tiring was the final training session of the third day at the 15th KWU International Summer Camp in Kamchia. The second training of the day was once again conducted under the guidance of some of the biggest names in the history of kickboxing – K-1 legends Peter Aerts, Semmy Schilt and Ernesto Hoost, all three instructors of the KWU International Professional League.
The winners of 11 K-1 Grand Prix titles showcased a barrage of interesting drills and techniques who were meant to upgrade the fighters’ endurance and skills. The session begun with a 10 minute stretching that set the tone for the storm that was loading.
The participants were once again divided into three groups. All three of the instructors demonstrated their rich fighting arsenal, giving out a lot of valuable tips and advices to the fighters.
Ernesto Hoost showcased a lot of different and complex combinatios which included a lot of unusual strikes from various and non-stantard angles and various situations. “Mr. Perfect” was non-stop shouting to the couples to changre from defence to attack in order to keep them busy at all times.
Meanwhile Semmy Schilt demonstrated some techniques on how to control the distahnce. “Hightower” showcased various ways of getting to the inside or outside depending on the situation, proving that the height is not always the most important thing in a fight.
Peter Aerts disclosed the niceties of the counterattack and the explosive single punches. “The Dutch Lumberjack” didn’t forget his most precious weapon and reminded the fighters “that you always kill the opponent with the lowkicks”.
The KWU International Professional League trainings are part of the 15-th International Summer Camp in Kamchia that is organised by the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation. During the camp the ninth edition of the elite fight nights SENSHI will be held.
