The fight between heavyweight contenders Tony Yoka and Martin Bakole has been rescheduled for May 14 at the Accor Arena in Paris, France.
Initially the pair had to meet inside the ring on January 15, but the fight got cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions in France.
In the meantime, Yoka was proposed to face Croatia’s Filip Hrgovic in an IBF title eliminator bout, but Bakole protested to the IBF saying he still has a deal to face Yoka and therefore he wasn’t available to take the fight with Hrgovic.
Yoka hasn’t fought since September 2021 when he TKO’d Petar Milas.
Bakole was last seen inside the ring in September last year when he KO’d Haruna Osumanu.
