t’s increasingly looking like a third fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder will be on the shelf for the foreseeable future with Fury locked-in on a December 5th fight date in London, looking to get back in the ring and keep active as much as possible during this COVID outbreak.
Fury had been contractually obligated to fight Deontay Wilder in a third meeting, but financing the fight in this climate has proven difficult, with Fury’s promoter Bob Arum insisting that the contact face Wilder again has expired.
So speaking out on social media, Fury tells his fans that they can expect him back in the ring before the end of the year.
“I’d just like to announce I’m definitely fighting December the 5th in London. Opponent to be announced very, very soon,” Fury said in a video message posted on his social media accounts. “Just working on some opponents. Let you all know who it’s going to be shortly.”
Fury, 32, hasn’t fought since stopping Wilder in their February rematch.
