On Wednesday, the promotion confirmed that its Aug. 15 show originally planned to take place at 3Arena in Dublin has been canceled. The announcement was simply a formality as the planned event had already been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions and the date re-designated for the UFC 252 pay-per-view event headlined by Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier, which is set to take place at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Due to current government restrictions on public gatherings in the Republic of Ireland, UFC Dublin originally scheduled for August 15th will not take place as planned at the 3Arena.
UFC looks forward to returning with an event in the near future
Large public gatherings of over 5,000 people are currently prohibited by the Irish government due to coronavirus precautions. The ban is expected to last until at least mid-September.
Aug. 15 was supposed to mark the UFC’s fourth visit to Dublin and first since October 2015. Since resuming operations in early May following a series of coronavirus-related event cancellations in March and April, the UFC has only held events in Las Vegas and Jacksonville, Fla., with events in Abu Dhabi scheduled to take place in July.
