The long-anticipated heavyweight debut of Oleksandr Usyk (16-0) will probably take place this fall.
The former undisputed cruiserweight world champion had to fight Carlos Takam (36-5-1) in May, but the Ukrainian suffered an arm injury and initially, their bout was rescheduled for September.
It seems though, things won’t be cut out for next month and that is why the clash between Usyk and Takam is set to take place on October 12 in Chicago, US.
The last times the 2012 Olympic champion was seen in action was in November 2018 when he KO’d Tony Bellew in the 7th. Meanwhile, the 38-year-old French last fought Senad Gashi in December 2018, defeating him via TKO.
