Gabriel Silva continues to impress in his first steps in combat sports.
Seven months after scoring a TKO victory in his amateur debut in the ring, the son of UFC legend Anderson Silva improved to 5-0 with a third-round stoppage against previously unbeaten Christian Williams on Friday night in Seal Beach, Calif.
Silva also picked up two belts with the victory, claiming the ISK southern California middleweight and the FightersRep 165-pound titles.
The 22-year-old looked very comfortable in the ring, landing punches and kicks at will from the get go. He also taunted his opponent before the referee decided the fight was over.

Silva told MMA Fighting on Saturday he has no plans making a transition to mixed martial arts “for now”. In July 2019, right after his first win, the unbeaten 6-foot-3 prospect told MMA Fighting his goal was to debut as a professional MMA fighter in 2021.
“I don’t see it like, ‘Oh, because my dad was the best in UFC history I have to go there as well,’” Silva said of fighting in the Octagon one day. “In my head, I want to go there because the best athletes in the world are in the UFC. You want to shine and prove yourself among the best. That’s the goal in the UFC.
“To prove that I’m as good as my dad, that to me is, I wouldn’t say irrelevant, but it’s not something that crosses my mind. My dad built his history, and now I have to build mine”
