The World Boxing Council has officially ordered the fight everybody’s been talking about for some time now.
The former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will face the former unified heavyweight king Andy Ruiz. The winner of the match will face the current WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury for his belt as the mandatory challenger.
Both parties need to reach an agreement before the fight is official.
Wilder returned to action this October when he KO’d Robert Helenius in the first round.
Ruiz’s return was excellent as well. He beat former WBC challenger Luis Ortiz via UD in September.
