WBO interim heavyweight belt added to Joyce – Parker fight

The upcoming and highly anticipated heavyweight clash between two of the most recognizable fighters in this day and era just got even bigger.

The winner of the fight between Joe Joyce and Joseph Parker will become the WBO interim heavyweight champion which will put him in a pole position to attack the real belt or even get him promoted if the title gets vacated.

The fight between the Brit and the New Zealander is scheduled to take place on September 24 in Manchester, UK.

Parker, the former WBO champ, is on a six fight winning streak, as he was last seen inside the ring in December 2021 when he defeated Derek Chisora.

Joyce, who will defend his WBC Silver belt, is undefeated as a pro. His last win was in July 2022 when he TKO’d Christian Hammer in the fourth round.
