The 2022 World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships are on the horizon as the event passes the -30-Days count.
One of the most massive and popular events on Karate’s international calendar, the age-group World Championships are expected to gather youngsters from all over the world in an anticipated competition.
The 12th edition of the underage World Championships is scheduled to take place in Konya (Turkiye) from October 26 to 30. With two weeks still to go to the end of the registration period, over 600 young karatekas from 50 countries have signed in to participate.
The competition starts on Wednesday, October 26 and the medal bouts and finals are set to be held on Saturday and Sunday.
Karate fans will be able to follow all the action of the medal bouts as it happens on the WKF YouTube channel. The clashes for bronze and the finals will be available LIVE on the WKF YouTube channel.
The domination of the sport at the grassroots level is at stake. The last edition of the World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships was held in Chile in 2019. Egypt topped the medal table of the event with 19 medals including seven golds. The delegations of Turkey and France also registered successful performances with 15 and 12 medals respectively.
