Cuba’s Yoel Romero will be making his Bellator debut this upcoming September. The former UFC title challenger is set to face another former UFC fighter and former Bellator light heavyweight champion Phil Davis.
The fight will be taking place on September 18th at Bellator 266 which will be held in San Jose, California.
Scott Coker himself announced the news just a day after it became clear that there are no traces of illegal; substances in Romero’s probe. The 44-year-old veteran hasn’t fought since March 2020 when he lost to Israel Adesanya.
Davis, 36, hasn’t fought since April 2021 when he lost to Vadim Nemkov in the quarterfinals of the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament. Romero – Davis is slated to be the main event of the fight night.
