The annual ‘Dan Kolov-Nikola Petrov’ wrestling tournament that takes place in Bulgaria will bring together 530 wrestlers from 42 countries.
This year the event will be staged in Ruse, from 28th of February to the 3rd of March.
USA’s roster includes two Olympic freestyle champions – Jordan Burroughs and Kyle Snyder. Unfortunately, Russia will not participate with his A team and therefore Abdulrashid Sadulaev won’t be coming to Bulgaria. Nevertheless, the Russians are going all out in the Greco-Roman style. The Olympic champions Roman Vlasov and Davit Chakvetadze will tussle in Ruse, along with the world champ Musa Yevloyev.
Other big names that will play a part in the tournament are Frank Chamizo from Italy, Geno Petriashvili from Georgia and Taha Akgul from Turkey.
Japan, South Korea, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Finland, Ukraine, Egypt, India, Uzbekistan are just a small fraction of the countries that will be represented at the tournament.
The contest is part of the ranking series.
The matches will take place in ‘Monbat Arena’ in Ruse.
