American boxer Michael Hunter has expressed his desire to face his fellow countryman and former world champion Charles Martin in an IBF title eliminator fight, per Hunter’s manager.
Hunter, 31, wants to test his power and skills against Martin and the winner of a potential bout will secure himself a title fight with the IBF heavyweight champion.
As of this moment, the IBF mandatory challenger is Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev. He was supposed to face Joshua this summer, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, the fight will have to take place on a later date.
Martin is currently sitting on the #2 spot with “Bounty” being #4.
