Belberov finishes the day the right way

One of the most prolific Bulgarian boxers – Petar Belberov (+91 kg) won his first fight at the 70th annual international ‘Strandja Memorial Tournament’ in Sofia.

Belberov was the last boxer from the home nation to step into the ring in the third day of the competition. He faced Viktor Vykhryst (UKR) and right from the get going Belberov demonstrated that he’ll be the one dominating the fight.

Throughout the whole fight, Petar was the authority between the ropes. The Ukrainian had no clue what to do with Belberov’s jab who landed it too easy the entire fight.

In the quarter-final, the Bulgarian will be squared up against Kamshybek Kunkabayev (KAZ). The bout is scheduled for the evening session tomorrow.

Results from the evening session:

(75 kg) Kristiyan Nikolov def. Carl Manny Fail (ENG)

(75 kg) Rami Kiwan def. Mindaugas Gedminas (NOW)

(60 kg) Kiril Rusenov def. Yurii Shestak (UKR)
