GLORY welterweight champion Cedric Doumbe had no problems in his return to the ring this past weekend.
The French fought Karim Ghajji in the GLORY 76 co-main event. Initially, Doumbe was slated to fight Murthel Groenhart, but “The Predator” got injured and was forced to withdraw.
Still, the late replacement didn’t bother the champ at all and he managed to retain his belt following a third-round TKO.
The event was held in Rotterdam, Netherlands in an audience-free environment.
Even though that wasn’t the fight everybody wished for, the challenger demonstrated will and fire. Unfortunately for him, Doumbe’s combinations were on another level, as the champ did whatever he wanted in the course of the fight.
It was Doumbe’s sixth consecutive win since his last loss in 2018.
