Megan Anderson is no longer under contract with UFC and will have to look for a new fighting home.
Anderson, 31, has just lost her last fight under the UFC banner. The Australian lost to Amanda Nunes at UFC 259 in a fight for the featherweight title.
Promotion officials have confirmed that this was her last fight of her deal and she won’t be getting a new one. The fighter herself said during a live stream that she is leaving UFC and that the company is planning on dumping the entire featherweight women’s division.
After UFC 259, Dana White said that it’s up to Amanda Nunes to decide if she wants to fight in this category.
Anderson, former Invicta FC featherweight champ, made her UFC debut back in June 2018. Her record stands at 3-3.
