Petar Stoykov claims another victory at SENSHI

The 10th edition of SENSHI fight nights kicked off with a massive Bulgarian win. SENSHI vet Petar Stoykov defeated Portugal’s Joao Silva via UD in the opening bout of the fight card.

The clash was conducted under the KWU SENSHI ruleset in the -70 kg category with Krasimir Dimov being the referee.

The fight started calmly, as Stoykov was the one who was dictating the bout. The pair exchanged a few kicks with Stoykov pushing the tempo and the distance. The Bulgarian was landing some beautiful side kicks and his movement was smoother. The Portugese was relying heavily on front kicks, but his power was a no problem for Stoykov.

Silva started the second round aggressively, but Stoykov demonstrated he can be methodical and patient and didn’t concede any easy shots. The Bulgarian was calm and collected and was in no hurry. He started to find his counterattacking game while Silva managed to land a few low kicks, but nothing too much.

The final round began with a outstanding mae geri from Silva, but Stoykov came back right away and returned the favor with some nasty right and left hooks. After the full three rounds played on, the ringside judges scored unanimously in favor of the home crowd hero.
