On February 26-th, 2022 the German kyokushin artist Sergej Braun will once again step into the ring of SENSHI. He is scheduled to fight the Serbian prospect Nikolai Todorovic – if it works out. So far the bout between these two has fallen apart two times due to COVID-19 striking the fighters.
The WAKO PRO World Champ Braun shared some of his game plan before the bout which will be held under the KWU Full Contact Rules in -80 kg. division.
“I’ve prepared myself for the fight twice before. Todorovic would have been my last opponent, so I continue my training consisting of strength, endurance and sparring sessions. My tactic is to pay attention to all the little things; my opponent is about five inches taller than me. He has sharp knees, plus he’s very good at close distance, so my goal is to keep him at a long range by hitting his body and legs, thereby slowing him down and making him tired”, explains the KO artist in detail.
The winner of “Most Technical Fighter”, “Knockout of the Night” and “Helmet of Spartacus” also commentated the fact that crowd will be allowed to enter the arena and enjoy the fights in Varna.
“Fighting without an audience is of course a completely different feeling than with an audience, because you’re not cheered on and it’s so quiet. On the other hand, you get used to it and after two years without an audience it would be something completely different with an audience”
