The International Judo Federation and the European Jud Union have both announced that the Russian Judo Federation and the Belarusian Judo Federation are both being suspended from IJF and EJU competitions.
No Russian or Belarusian athletes will be able to compete under the IJF or EJU flag, nor their national anthems or flags will be played or displayed.
This is due to the Russian invasion in Ukraine. Earlier this month, the Executive Committee of the European Judo Union supported the the decision of IJF to allow athletes from Russia to participate in IJF events under IJF flag, logo & anthem.
