The highly anticipated light heavyweight matchup between the former champion Jan Blachowicz and Aleksander Rakic has been rescheduled.
Initially, the pair had to headline UFC Columbus which took place this past weekend, but a couple of weeks ago the fight got postponed due to a sustained injury by the Polish fighter. Now fight fans have the date.
Blachowicz, 39, will be clashing with Rakic, 30, in the main event of UFC Fight Night 209 which will be taking place on May 14 at a TBD location.
The former champion hasn’t fought since last October when Glover Teixeira defeated him and took away his UFC LH gold.
Rakic is on a two-fight winning streak. The Austrain defeated Thiago Santos via UD at UFC 259 in March 2021.
