Just a month after Hughie Fury (22-2) defeated Chris Norrad (17-1) in one of the most onesided fights in boxing, now it seems that Tyson’s cousin is staying on the track of fighting non-relevant boxers.
The 24-years-old Brit is scheduled to face the former WBC world heavyweight champion Samuel Peter (38-7). The fight will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on July 12th to as the chief support to a main even of former world 140-pound champion Amirk Khan vs. India’s Neeraj Goyat.
🥊 Delighted to announce @hughiefury will take on Samuel Peter, in a co-main event alongside @amirkingkhan vs Neeraj Goyat.

The 38-years-old Nigerian from USA is way past his prime and if Highie is aiming for a world title shot, Peter is definetely not the adversary he should be squaring up against. “The Nigerian Nightmare” last fought in April when he defeated Alejandro Garduno via KO in the first round.
The one common thing these two guys have is the fact they both came to Sofia (Peter in 2016 and Fury in 2018) and lost to Kubrat Pulev.
