Former unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (22-1) has clearly begun his preparations for his highly anticipated rematch with IBF, WBO and WBA “Super” champion Andy Ruiz Jr. (33-1).
“AJ” shockingly lost his titles on June 1, when the Mexican-American TKO’d him in the 7th round to claim his first ever world heavyweight championships.
There is still no official date or venue for the rematch between the pair with London, New York or Mexico City being the favorites to host the big event. The 29-year-old Brit was heavily criticized for his performance against Ruiz Jr., as the popular opinion was that Joshua was out of shape and low on stamina after the 4th round.
