Hungarian sambists took part in a children’s summer camp that was held from July 29 to August 3 in the Hungarian town of Délegyháza.
More than 60 kids took part in the event and learned some basic sambo moves and self-defense techniques. The experience was organized by the Martial Artists for Children Foundation, which is a member organization of the Hungarian Sambo Federation.
“It was a great experience to give some of the basic sambo movements, playful self-defense techniques for young children. The safe fall and roll techniques, escape techniques is important for everyone. We try to convey a love of sport at an early young age. We don’t know yet who will become an athlete, but they are definitely learning and having fun in a great environment,” Imre Papp, founder, and president of Hungarian Sambo Federation says.
