The 2019 Judo World Championship in Tokyo is just around the corner and the excitement grows with every minute.
From August 25-31 879 judokas from 150 countries will be taking part in this year’s judo biggest event that will take place in Japan wherein less than a year the judo elite will gather again for the 2020 Olympic games.
528 men and 351 women will be battling for the hardware that was revealed today. The medal design for the World Championships was presented by PARK24 GROUP and has been unveiled by the All Japan Judo Federation.

The International Judo Federation also revealed the team trophy. The piece of art is being manufactured by Herend Porcelain Manufactory, the same company that is providing the trophies for the winners in Formula 1.
