Bogan Shumarov with a stunning win over Ivan Timkov

Varna`s own Bogdan Shumarov made the crowd go bananas at the first edition of SENSHI. He knocked out the tough ukrainian Ivan Timkov in the second round of their K-1 bout. The fight was the last one before the title fights at the event and was in the welterweight division.

Shumarov represents fight club “Boil” and is a numerous times national champion, Balcan champion, 2x European champion for amateurs and world juvenile amateur champion.

The first round was a slow one for the Bulgarian, as he was defending and waiting for his turn to attack. After he studied pretty well his opponent in the first three minutes, he started the second part way more aggresively and after hard boxing combinations he sent Timkov twice to the canvas. After the second knockdown the ukrainian could not continue.
