Brazil dominates the Brasilia Judo Grand Slam

The host country of Brazil has absolutely dominated the Brasilia Judo Grand Slam event that took place in the country’s capital from October 6th to October 8th.

A total of 316 judokas from 55 countries participated in the competition, but the host country was the one dominating most of the categories. Brazil captured 17 medals (4 gold, 9 silver, and 4 bronze). Japan secured two golds, as both of the Japanese finalists managed to win their most important matches.

The fifth Grand Slam event of 2019 produced a total of 14 gold medalist, with Great Britain, Cuba, Italy, Russia, France, Portugal, Spain, and Columbia each claiming one gold.
