The European Judo Union (EJU) has announced that it will host for the very first time an online kata tournament whereby the participants will be required to send in video footage for analysis.
Those wishing to be a part of the event will send in said footage by midday on the 20th of March, however, the online tournament and evaluation will be streamed live on the 27th of March with the winners and their scores announced for the community to witness.
The 37th Trophy Villanova EJU Kata Tournament and the National Kata Grand Prix events won’t be taking place this year due to the COVID-19 restrictions in Europe. That is why the EJU Board members have decided to use the current technology in order for judokas to be kept active and competing as they usually would be.
