Final countdown: It’s time for KWU World Championship 2019!

The 4th KWU Kyokushin World Championship among men and women will be held on December 7-8 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. The bouts will be hosted at Martial Arts palace Jekpe-Jek.

In the last days before the World Championship, there was a revival under the expert guidance of Alexander Zeytz, the Creative Director and longtime partner of KWU. This year on KWUCHAMP will participate 300 fighters from 50 countries in 15 weight categories.

Official guests are:

  • Shihan Yuri Trutnev – Chairman of Presidium of Russian Kyokushin Association and Supreme Judge of the KWU World Championship;
  • Kancho Hatsuo Royama – President of Kyokushin-kan International Karate Organization;
  • Shihan Ivo Kamenov – Chairman of KWU’s Professional League and Chairman of Bulgarian’s Association of Martial Sports;
  • Shihan Antonio Pinero – President of Kyokushin World Federation (KWF);
  • Shihan David Pickthall – Vice President of International Federation of Karate (IFK);
  • Shihan Ramil Gabbasov – Member of the Executive Committee of the Kyokushin Word Union and Deputy Supreme Judge of the KWU World Championship;
  • Shihan Hennie Bosman – Chairman of the Kyokushin-kan International Committee;
  • Shihan Andre Drewniak – Secretary-General of Kyokushin World Federation (KWF);
  • Shihan Alexandr Pichkunov – Secretary-General of Kyokushin World Union.

Official guests from Kazakhstan:

  • Karim Massimov – Former Prime Minister of Kazakhstan
  • Oleg Novachuk – Executive Chairman of KAZ Minerals
  • Vladimir Kim – President, Non-Executive Director of KAZ Minerals

According to the program of the World Championship, from December 4 to December 6 will be held 3 days Judging seminar with theory and practice as well.

On December 5 will be held Press conference with the KWU leaders and also will be an official presentation of the winner’s medals and cups. In addition to these awards, KWU also awards cash prizes for the winners from the 1st place to the 3rd places as follows: 1st place – $3000; 2nd place – $1500 and two 3rd places – $750 each.

On December 6 will be held Credentials committee, after which the drawing procedure and common meeting of competitors, judges, organizers, and representatives.

The main event will start on December 7 with preliminary fights up to finals, the finals in each category will be on December 8 with a grandiose opening show prepared by the famous Kazakhstani actor and Art Director of the KWU Championship, Tolepbergen Baisakalov.
