First Uzbekistan Sambo Championship among blind held in Tashkent

The Uzbekistan SAMBO Championship among the Blind and Visually Impaired was held on March 1 in Tashkent.

The tournament was attended by athletes from different regions of the country that competed in 5 weight categories of the SVI-1 class (totally blind) and in 1 weight category of the SVI-2 class (visually impaired), reports Fias.

“The National SAMBO Championship among the Blind and Visually Impaired was held in Uzbekistan for the first time”, the press service of the SAMBO Association of Uzbekistan reports.

“Taking into account the great attention that FIAS pays to the development of this discipline, the SAMBO Association of Uzbekistan has also begun work in this direction. Following the results of the national championship, the national SAMBO team of Uzbekistan for the blind and visually impaired was formed,”
