How did you get into kickboxing?
I played football from the age of 8 to 16 years old. My football coach told me I should try another sport because I was too strong for football so I got into kickboxing!
Where do you train at?
I train at ARJ Trainingen with Mike Polanen.
How would you describe yourself as a fighter?
I fight like a lion. I always follow my instincts and try to go for the KO.
How would you describe yourself as a person?
I’m a good guy but with bad intentions for this division.
What is your favourite weapon to use in the ring?
I think everyone who has seen me fighting in the past knows that I punch harder than most.
Who is your greatest inspiration in life for martial arts?
How does it feel to be back after a four-year break?
I feel good and motivated. Everything in life happens for a reason so I’m confident my time has come to rock the world.
What’s the difference between you and other GLORY fighters?
I punch hard, I have a strong chin and the heart of a lion. I’m hungry and I am going to take what is mine.
Who is your dream matchup?
I have a lot of respect for all fighters, but I came to GLORY for Badr and Rico.
What do you want to be remembered as at the end of your career?
A legend who had the power to come back and become champion.
What are your hobbies outside of kickboxing?
I don’t have any hobbies. I am just enjoying life and waiting for my time to fight again.
Do you have a message to all the GLORY fans?
I will do whatever it takes to win all my fights by KO.
