UFC light heavyweight Gokhan Saki has been missing from the combat sports world in the last two years.
The last time fight fans witnessed Saki in action was in 2018 when he lost to Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 226. Many people wondered what is going on with the Turkish fighter and why he isn’t competing. However, Saki himself revealed that he needs surgeries on his two elbows and the first one was a success.

Update for my followers. After a year of pain and injections in my elbows they found out that in my both elbows I have fractured pieces. That caused pain and inflammations. My first surgery is done and it went ✅. Second to come. Within a few weeks I can resume the training hopefully without any pain and obstacles. For every level, there is another devil, that’s life. But remember the darker the night, the brighter the morning so we never ever give up. Keep you guys posted. Thank you all.
The former K-1 and GLORY kickboxer will have to go through a long rehabilitation process, but if his elbows are alright after the surgeries there’s a big chance we’ll see him again inside the Octagon or the ring.
