Former world title challenger Hughi Fury will be facing Michael HUnter this upcoming July 2 in Manchester, UK, at the AO Arena a few miles away from Fury’s hometown of Stockport.
The fight serves as a WBA world title eliminator. Whoever gets the W will secure himself a bout against either Daniel Dubois or Trevor Bryan, who fight on June 11th.
Fury, 27, hasn’t fought since October 2021 when he defeated Christian Hammer. Hunter, 33, was last seen inside the ring in December when he drew against Jerry Forrest.
“I take the fights everyone avoids,” Fury said. “Michael Hunter has fought the best and is up there with the best. These are the fights I want to show who is the best fighter out there.
