Two light heavyweight prospects have agreed to fight at a UFC event on March 27th, as Jimmy Crute is expected to meet Johnny Walker.
ESPN first reported the news, but the UFC is yet confirm the matchup. The location and venue of the UFC event on March 27th is yet to be announced. Both Crute and Walker were signed to the UFC after impressing on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Crute (12-1) has never gone the distance in his five UFC appearances. Currently on a two-fight winning streak, Crute won $50,000 bonuses for his two wins in 2020 against Modestas Bukauskas and Michal Oleksiejczuk. The Australian has only lost to Misha Cirkunov since being signed by the UFC in 2018.
Walker (18-5) started off his current UFC stint with highlight reel finishes against the likes of Khalil Rountree and Cirkunov. The Brazilian lost consecutive fights to Corey Anderson and Nikita Krylov, but has since rebounded with a KO win against Ryan Spann back at UFC Vegas 11 in September.
No other fights have been linked to this event.
