Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk (16-3) got back on winning track.
The 32-year-old Polish MMA fighter defeated Michelle Waterson (17-7) in UFC Fight Night 161’s main event last night in Tampa, US. Jedrzejczyk got the W via UD (50-45, 50-45, 49-46) after a one-sided performance.
The ex-strawweight queen was the dominator thought the whole fight, as she was the superior force on feet. Joanna bloodied her adversary’s nose in the opening round with a stunning elbow. The European was putting the pressure on her opponent thanks to her heavy leg kicks. The 33-year-old American tried to take the battle on the ground, but Jedrzejczyk blocked all of Waterson takedowns attempts.

Jedrzejczyk said she thought she broke her right foot at the end of the second round. It was very swollen late in the fight.
The muay thai specialist earned her 10th UFC strawweight victory, the most in division history. That total is also the third-most in UFC women’s history.
