Joe Joyce’s trainer tests positive for COVID-19

Joe Joyce will have to find a way to defeat his toughest challenge Daniel Dubois without his head trainer in his corner.

Joyce,35, is facing his fellow countryman this Saturday night in an All-British mega heavyweight bout. Unfortunately for “The Juggernaut”, his head trainer Ismael Salas will not be attending the fight because he tested positive for coronavirus.

The good news is that the fight is still on because the Cuban trainer was in Las Vegas for the last few weeks and he wasn’t involved in Joyce’s training camp recently.

Salas was Joyce’s first pro trainer who got him prepared for the professional world of boxing. Then in 2018, Joyce switched to Abel Sanchez, but he “came home” to Salas for the mega clash with Dubois.
