Jon Jones’ recent arrest wasn’t a shock for the people, who know his past problems with the law.
Last Friday morning, Jones was arrested and booked into jail by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on charges of domestic violence.
Jones posted a video to his Instagram stories of himself lifting weights with Randy Newman’s song “You’ve Got A Friend In Me” playing.
Also included on the image were five overlaid quotes, including a promise to stop drinking.
Jones’ arrest occurred just hours after being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his first fight against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165.
Here is following his statement:
“I have way too much trauma to consume alcohol, my brain simply can’t handle it anymore. I will leave alcohol in my past forever. Turn this nightmare into the best thing to ever happen in my life.”
“Now is the time to work harder than ever. What the devil means for bad, God means for good. Get right back on my horse.”
