Former UFC and Strikeforce fighter Jordan Mein (31-12) has signed a deal with Bellator MMA, per source.
The 30-year-old Canadian was inactive in the last year-and-a-half with his last fight dating back in 2018. Mein had a total of nine fights under the UFC banner, winning 5 and losing 4.
“Young gun” will be competing in Bellator’s welterweight division. As of this moment, there is nothing official on his first adversary or date for his debut.
Mein, who lost to Rory MacDonald in his pro debut in 2006, owns notable wins over the likes of Joe Riggs, Marius Zaromskis, Evangelista Santos, Dan Miller, and Mike Pyle. The Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, native briefly retired from the sport in July 2015 but he returned to action a little more than a year later in a loss to Emil Meek at UFC 206.
